Team Fyfe went down 4-0 to Sydney University in a hard-fought game at Turruwul.
Defensive errors, poor refereeing and missing players led to a scoreline that was greater than it could and should have been.
For the Fyfes, D'Arcy Blaxell was the standout performer, especially in the second half when his aggressive play put Sydney Uni on the back foot, and left observers wondering how he hadn't been booked.
Eddy Blaxell left the field midway through the second half with a nasty gash above his left eye but is expected to be fit for the next match in two weeks time.
Full report to follow.
